Mosquito AA tryouts moved indoors

Even though it may not seem like it ball season is ready to start! But the weather is not co-operating so we have had to make a couple changes. Try outs for the mosquito AA 57’s is going to be moved indoors and times have had to be slightly changed for booking availability. Please note below the changes and location.
Let’s hope this is Mother Nature’s last blast of cold and snow so we can soon enjoy sunshine and the great game of baseball!!

Tuesday April 10th- 6:30-8:00pm
Location: Stockade
Thursday April 12th- 4:30-5:45 pm
Location: Stockade

Please bring all ball equipment including batting helmets but runners rather than cleats being indoors.

Bantam “AAA” and “AA” tryouts moved indoors

Due to the weather and the fact that the diamonds will not be ready to use next week the Bantam AAA and AA tryouts have been moved indoors to the stockade building.
Times are as follows
Wednesday April 11th 6Pm – 8PM Stockade building at in the exhibitions grounds
Thursday April 12th 6PM – 8PM Stockade building at in the exhibitions grounds

Umpire clinic

The SCMB umpire clinic will be held at the Ecole Centennial School (2220 Woodrow Lloyd Place, Swift Current)
-Saturday, April 14 – Level 1.1 (offence); 9 am – 3 pm; please be at the event by 8:45 am to register. $30 registration fee – cash or cheque (payable to SCMB)
-Sunday, April 15 – Level 2.2 (defence); 9 am – 2:30 pm; please be at the event by 8:45 am to register. $30 registration fee – cash or cheque

Midget AAA coach position filled

We are please to announce that the Midget AAA head coach position has been filled by Dustin Bissonnette. Dustin Bissonnette comes to our organization with the knowledge and capability to take the team to the next level, in a very competitive Midget AAA league. Dustin played his college ball with Thomas Rivers University and ISU Shreveport. Dustin also played in the WMBL with the Lethbridge Bulls, and our very own 57’S. During and after his playing time in the WMBL, Dustin coached with the Lethbridge Bulls, and with out own WMBL team, the 57s. Also one of our home grown ball player, Justin Kehler, will help Dustin with the Midget program. Justin Also played with the 57’S, and played college ball in California. We look forward to see where they can take our midget program in 2018 and beyond.
