15U AAA Tryouts

View the attached letter from Craig Kilshaw, 15U AAA Coach, regarding tryout and season information for the 2022 15U AAA team

Dear Parents/Guardians:

My name is Craig Kilshaw and this season I am the Head Coach of the 15U AAA Swift Current 57’s. I’m very excited about the upcoming year of baseball and want to announce that we are now officially in the Saskatchewan Premier Baseball League.

In the past, we have played in the Regina League, with teams from Regina and surrounding areas. This year, our league will consist of teams from Regina, Saskatoon and Yorkton.  We are also awaiting the addition of a few more teams to the league, with confirmation coming in the next few weeks.

We will be playing in 2 to 3 tournaments this season as well. One in Sasaktoon, July 8th-10th , another in Regina on the May long weekend (20th-23rd). I will also try to get the team into the Melville tournament when they open registration, dates TBD.

The Provincial tournament will be played on the August long weekend and the season will conclude by the second weekend in August.

We will be playing most weekends (Saturday and Sunday games) along with some weekday games.

Tryouts for the 15U AAA team will be held April 11th and 12th at Ford Field (Ford Field is located in the upper parking lot behind the Iplex.). Tryouts will run from 5:30-7/7:30pm with the team being selected the evening of April 12th.

Practices will begin on Wednesday, April 13th 5:30-7:30pm and will be held weekly on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for the beginning of the season and once games being we will hold practice twice per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:30-7:30pm.

Players do need to be registered through SCMB before tryouts.

If your child is interested in trying out for the team, please email me at craigkilshaw@hotmail.com by April 2nd. I will then send out a more detailed email to all registrants by April 5th.

If you have any questions regarding commitment level, the team or tryouts, please feel free to contact me.

Thank you,

Craig Kilshaw
