U11 AAA 57’s Tryouts

Dear Parents/Guardians, 

My name is Tom Christianson, and I am the Head Coach of the U11 AAA Swift Current 57’S for this upcoming baseball season. I am super excited to get the season underway and start competing against the best U11 AAA teams in the province. 

This season we will be playing in the Regina U11 AAA league where we will be playing games on weekends and some weekdays. We will be playing in 4-5 tournaments- Regina Legasse Tournament on May Long Weekend, Saskatoon AAA Tier 1 tournament in June 9-11, Home Tournament on June 2-4, and possibly play in an Alberta tournament. We will be playing in Provincials on July 14-16 where this will be our last week of baseball.  

You can expect that we will be playing every weekend from May 1st to Provincial weekend on July 14th. We will practice 2-3 times a week starting the week after the team is picked and league games will start the first week of May.  

Tryouts will be held on April 18th and 20th. Place and time TBD due to weather.  

If your player is interested in trying out for the team, please email me at tomchristianson@hotmail.com. I will send out a more detailed information email to all registrants closer to the tryout dates. All players must be registered with SCMB in order to play provincial baseball.

U13 AAA Swift Current 57’s Tryouts

Dear Parents / Guardians,

13U AAA tryouts will be April 17 & 19th at Kiwanis Field. This tryout is open to all 2010 & 2011 players in Southwest Saskatchewan.

We will play in the Regina League with games starting in early May along with participating in 4-5 tournaments including our home tournament. Our first tournament will be the Legasse Tournament in Regina over May long weekend. 

Provincials will be August 4-6 depending how we finish there that will either conclude our season or we will advance to Western Canadian Championships later that month.  With our schedule you can expect us playing almost every weekend and some weekday games.  Throughout the season we will practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting April 25th.  

To register for tryouts just email joecarnahan@hotmail.com by April 7th. All Players must be registered in RAMP.

I will send out a detailed email to all registrants no later than April 10th.

U15 AAA Swift Current 57’s Tryouts

Dear Parents/Guardians,

My name is Craig Kilshaw and this season, I am the Head Coach of the 15U AAA Swift Current 57’s. I’m very excited about the upcoming year of baseball!

This will be our second year in the Saskatchewan Premier Baseball League. Our league will consist of teams from Regina, Saskatoon,Yorkton, Alameda and East Central.  Our schedule has increased from 24 to 28 league games this year. We are looking to play a total of 50 to 55 games including tournament play.

We will be playing in 4 tournaments this season. First will be Legasse tournament over May long weekend in Regina, our home tournament June 9th-11th, Okotoks tournament over Canada Day long weekend, and Evan Thomas tournament July 14th-16th in Saskatoon.

 The Provincial tournament will be played on the August long weekend and the season should conclude by the second weekend in August.

We will be playing most weekends (Saturday and Sunday games) along with some weekday games.

Tryouts for the 15U AAA team will be held April 17th and 18th at Ford Field, located in the upper parking lot of the Iplex. Time TBD. 

Practices will begin on April 20th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.  The following  week we will practice from 5:30pm-7:30pm and practice will be held weekly on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for the beginning of the season and once games begin we will hold practice twice per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:30pm-7:30pm.

Players need to be registered through SCMB before tryouts.

If your player is interested in trying out for the team, please email me at craigkilshaw@hotmail.com by April 7th. I will then send out a more detailed email to all registrants by April 9th.

We expect players to be fully committed to ALL games and practices.  Being that we are in a very competitive league, playing time and at bats will vary. It will be ‘FAIR PLAY, NOT EQUAL PLAY!’ If you have any questions regarding commitment level, the team or tryouts, please feel free to contact me.
