First Two Provincial Team Coaches Selected

SCMB would like to congratulate the following coaches on being selected as coaches of our Provincial teams.

Both have coached (and won) at the provincial level, and we are looking forward to their continued success.

Pre-Season Indoor Baseball

Camps: Baseball Fundamentals, Hitting, Pitching

All sessions will be 1 hour

Total of 8 sessions

All sessions will be at the Stockade.

Equipment needed: glove, bat, helmet, water bottle

Baseball Fundamentals Camp will focus on throwing, hitting, and fielding during every session providing the young player an opportunity to build the proper foundations which will increase their success. (For Mosquito level players and lower.)

Hitting Camp will focus on specific mechanics and drills to develop a consistent and repeatable swing allowing solid contact, increasing bat speed while creating more power. (For players going into their final year of Mosquito and levels higher.)

Pitching Camp will focus on the proper mechanics of pitching to maximize velocity and control while reducing the chance of future injury. An arm strengthening Jobes program will also be introduced and implemented. (For players going into their final year of Mosquito and levels higher.)

Session breakdown

Hitting Camp: March 16, 18, 24, 26, 30 April 1, 13, 20

Pitching Camp: March 17, 23, 25, 29, 31 April 2, 14, 21

Baseball Fundamentals Camp: March 17, 23, ,25, 29, 31 April 2, 14, 21

*Session times for the most part will run 4:00 – 5:00, 5:15-6:15, 6:30-7:30, 7:45-8:45 and 9:00-10:00. However due to booking conflicts times will be adjusted for some of the days.

All registered players will be contacted no later than March 13th with the time slot and schedule for their session(s).

The intent is to place players in sessions with other players of their same age group/division while keeping the groups at an ideal coach to player ratio.

Younger players will be placed in the earlier time slots

Camp cost is $130 (includes 8 sessions)

If signing up for both Hitting and Pitching Camps $220 (includes 16 sessions)

Additional siblings $90 for one Camp (8 sessions), $140 for Hitting and Pitching Camps (16 sessions)
