2024 Season Tryout Dates & Location

*Please be advised that a $30 non-refundable fee applies for tryouts (collected once cash or cheque at the time of training) that is not included in your registration fees. This covers the cost for all tryouts for your division per registrant; this means that the $30 payment is required for the first tryout session that you attend and waived for subsequent sessions. A member of Swift Current Minor Baseball will be on site to confirm payment has been received or to take payment. 

2024 Season Coaches

18U AAA - Kurri Darby

I would like to welcome you to the 2024 18U AAA Swift Current 57s baseball evaluations. These will be open for all players interested in playing AAA baseball this spring/summer. Whether you are a returning player or new to the team I hope that you have all spent some time training and preparing for the upcoming tryouts. We will be running three skills-based sessions on separate evenings.

Playing AAA baseball aims to compete at the highest level available. With our entry into the AAA league, the expectation from our players is to be committed to the team for the entirety of the season. 

Practices will be held on Tuesday/Thursday with times to be announced. Our schedule consists of 30 games (15 home and 15 away), starting in May and concluding at the end of July. We will be partaking in the Sask Selects tournament being held in Swift Current May 17-20, 2024, as well as the Mary Oikawa Memorial Tournament that is held in Lethbridge June 14-16, 2024.

The annual 18U AAA Provincial tournament will be held on July 22-28, with a host site yet to be determined. We will be required to earn a spot in this tournament, and teams will be determined by placing in the top 8 positions of the league standings.

Evaluations for this years team will be held on three separate Sundays. March 3rd will be at the Stockade @7:15-9:15, March 10th will be at Prime Training @5:00-7:00 and March 17th at the Stockade @7:00-9:00. (Please bring all necessary equipment for the positions you wish to tryout for. Attire for the sessions can be shorts or sweats)

Players, if you haven’t filled out a form yet please fill out the Google Form below in preparation of evaluations. It’s important that you attend these sessions. If you would like to inquire further about team information please contact me via email at kurri.darby@hotmail.com prior to tryouts.
