Hello parents and players,
My name is Blake Deobald and I am the 15U Division Head. I have been on the baseball board since 2024. I have spent two seasons as an assistant coach for an AA and AAA team. I grew up in Swift Current but moved away after graduation. Moving back to Swift Current in 2013 my family has been involved in many types of youth sports. Baseball means a lot to my family and I was happy to step and help the minor baseball organization as much as I can. Please feel free to reach out to me about any questions or concerns you may have. I wish you and your kids a very happy season. Play Ball!!

To cover the costs associated with renting the space(s) for tryouts, SCMBA will collect a tryout fee* of $40.00 for each set of tryouts, paid by cash or cheque at tryout. A member of Swift Current Minor Baseball will be on-site at tryouts to confirm payment has been received or to collect payment.
*Note: the tryout fees are non-refundable and are not included in your standard registration costs. The fee covers the cost for 1 set of tryouts for your division per registrant - this means that the $40 payment is required for AAA tryouts and an additional $40 is required for AA tryouts.
I am extremely honoured to be chosen as the head coach of 15U AAA 57’s for the 2026 season. I have been a lifelong baseball coach, most recently as an assistant coach at the 13U AAA and AA levels for the 57’s. I have also coached two successful provincial championship teams in U11 in Gravelbourg.
I believe in focusing on skill development, accountability and strategy while fostering a love and understanding of the game. I have coached both hockey and baseball at the highest levels and have a deep background in long term athlete development, sport administration, coaching and evaluation. My goal is to ensure our athletes are growing everyday both on and off the field.
Away from the diamond, I am the Commercial Excellence Manager for Adama Canada. My wife Désirée and I have two boys who are both active in sports and we currently reside in Gravelbourg.

Hello Players and Families,
Welcome back to another exciting baseball season!
My name is James Jacobson, and I'm honoured to serve as the head coach of the 2026 15U AA 57's team. I'm looking forward to getting out on the diamond with the players and kicking off what promises to be a great season!
I've been involved with Swift Current Minor Ball for the past three years, coaching at both the 11U AA and 13U AA levels. This year, I'm excited to take on the new challenge of coaching at the 15U level.
We'll once again be competing in the Regina Baseball League, with a full schedule that includes league play, playoffs, tournaments, and provincials. It should be a competitive and rewarding season for both players and coaches alike.
The values that I believe are most important for the team's success are coming prepared to work hard at both practices and games, supporting one another as teammates, and representing our team and community with pride. My coaching philosophy is centered on developing strong fundamentals, maintaining a positive attitude, and competing with integrity every time we take the field.
I'm excited to get started and look forward to a great season ahead.
-James Jacobson
