Hello Parents,
My name is Dave Langen, and I am the division head for Rally Cap this season. I have been involved with baseball for many years, either as a volunteer or coaching. My grandsons have been playing with Swift Current Minor Baseball in T-Ball, Rally Cap and the 11U level.
Rally Cap will be played on Mondays & Wednesdays or Tuesday & Thursdays at the City Recreation Complex ball diamonds by Patterson Grain east of the #4 Highway. We will be using the 4 diamonds at the bottom numbered 7-10.
Baseball is hopefully going to start the first week of May - the city will ultimately inform us when we are allowed on the road and the fields.
We will be looking for parent volunteers as head coaches and assistant coaches. Last year we had 8 teams in Rally Cap so we will need a head coach and an assistant for each team. We also welcome any parents that would like to help out on the field or in the dug out.
Just a reminder that you need to have a Safe Spaces Certificate to help on the field. Let us know if you are going to take your Safe Places for the first time or if you need to renew. We will email you a letter from SCMBA for the vulnerability check done with the RCMP.

The Rally Cap program is an entry level program designed to introduce children to the game of baseball, keeping them active and engaged, while learning the skills of the game in a fun, safe and informative atmosphere.
Rally Cap, while designed for the kids, is also a tremendous teaching tool for coaches just entering the game. A complete set of practice plans, along with drills and skill development ideas are built into this program.
