2025 Registration Information

We are thrilled to welcome you back for another season of baseball in Swift Current!

Registrations for the 2025 Baseball Season are open until April 7, 2025 - please use the following link to access our registration page to get started: http://swiftcurrentball.rampregistrations.com/

Registration Process

1. If you are new to registering for Swift Current Minor Baseball in 2025, you will need to create an account.  Click on the above link and then click on “Create one here”.
2. Once in your account dashboard, choose Register as a Participant and continue the registration process.

Division Information for the 2025 Season

Requests to Move Up or Move Down Divisions

Swift Current Minor Baseball will not accept requests for moving players up divisions in T-Ball, Rally-Cap, and U11. We will consider moving players in other divisions to allow players the chance to play ball when there are not enough registered players to make a team.

Payment Options

• Credit Card - MasterCard, Visa, or American Express are accepted

• E-Transfers - to registration@swiftcurrentminorbaseball.ca, and 
1. Please indicate the player name in the memo field; and
2. If prompted for a password for the transfer, please use "baseball2025"

Please ensure your e-transfer payment is sent immediately. Payment is required before tryouts, or before season start, whichever comes first.

• Jumpstart - Provides eligible families financial support to cover the costs associated for youth sports. More information on  JumpStart, including how to apply, can be found here: https://jumpstart.canadiantire.ca/pages/individual-child-grants 

Parents who are applying for JumpStart funding are also able to register online by selecting “JumpStart” as your method of payment. If you need assistance please contact Quinton at registration@swiftcurrentminorbaseball.ca.

A confirmation email will be sent to you confirming registration is successful.  If you don’t receive a confirmation email after registering, please contact Quinton at registration@swiftcurrentminorbaseball.ca.

Refunds

We understand that outside circumstances may affect your child's ability to play after they are registered. In these situations, we are happy to offer a 100% refund on your registration fee* before the first day of play (typically the first week of May). If you need to cancel your child's registration, please email Quinton at registration@swiftcurrentminorbaseball.ca ASAP. Requests for refunds after the start of the season are subject to SCMBA approval.

*Note: Tryout fees not eligible for refund. Refunds for team fees or other fees collected by the team or SCMBA will be up to the determination of the team or SCMBA respectively.

Tryouts

2025 Tryouts will be held beginning in March with dates TBD - stay tuned for more information to follow.

Coaches for the 11U-18U AA and AAA teams will be holding tryouts this season. Tryouts consist of a short series of drills to evaluate their level of play. This evaluation will assist the Division Head and the coaches in selecting House League teams that are fair and equal in skill levels. Once the teams are determined, the coaches will contact you to let you know which team your child is on. Just a reminder that all southwest Saskatchewan baseball players are welcome to compete in tryouts. 

To cover the costs associated with renting the space(s) for tryouts, SCMBA will collect a one-time tryout fee* of $40.00, paid by cash or cheque at tryout. A member of Swift Current Minor Baseball will be on-site at tryouts to confirm payment has been received or to collect payment. 

*Note: the tryout fee is non-refundable and is not included in your standard registration costs. The fee also covers the cost for all tryout sessions for your division per registrant - this means that the $40 payment is required for the first tryout session that you attend and waived for subsequent sessions.

Equipment

Batting Helmets - For personal hygiene benefits, all players will be responsible for providing their own batting helmet - Swift Current Minor Baseball does not provide helmets for players. Helmets can be purchased at a number of businesses within Swift Current. It is essential to have your helmet ready for your first practice.

Season Timeline

The season will start in late April/early May (depending on weather) and continue until the end of June. Players that are interested and selected to play on the Provincial Teams will continue play until later in July.
